This is what it’s all about
Introduction to Prosthetics is a short workshop designed to teach you the skills and techniques to apply basic prosthetic makeup. This course is perfect for those interested in special effects makeup, but with no prior experience. This is a hands on course where you will be taught face-to-face by one of our expert special effects makeup artists. Small class sizes make for an exciting and fun learning environment.
You will learn how to apply prosthetics for use in cosplay, costume, film and television. This course is available for anyone 14+ and will help develop your skills and prepare you to enter one of our Diploma courses.

On the final day of the course, a model is required for the application of your prosthetic. Please contact us for more details and if you need help sourcing models.

This short course is a non-accredited/recognised short course designed to give you a first glimpse of the special effects industry. This is not a nationally recognised qualification, however it will provide students with an introductory skillset. AACM is a brand recognised and highly recommended by industry experts.
This is what you will learn
You will watch a casting demonstration, mould and manufacture prosthetics using existing moulds that can be used in cosplay, costume, film and television. This course is available for anyone 14+ and will help develop an introductory skill set and will help you being ahead of the game when entering Diploma level studies.

- Matching prosthetics to a skin tone
- Manufacturing prosthetics using existing moulds
