Blended Delivery:
Blended online delivery using our learning platform, Canvas LMS, and a fully operational Hairdressing Training Salon. Approx. 2 days per week in the training salon and 4 hours per week structured self-paced online studies.

The course is taught by our highly skilled, industry respected trainers and will take your skills to that next level. Our trainers actually work as Hairdressers in the industry or are running their own hairdressing salons.
You will receive a nationally recognised qualification Certificate III in Hairdressing and Statement of Attainment. Your qualification carries real weight in the industry. If you wish to purchase a AACM professionally equipped hairdressing starter kit, a $600 kit fee is charged. Alternatively you can bring your own equipment or purchase through one of our trusted suppliers.

We have structured the ideal hairdressing course to support all makeup artists wanting to extend their creative abilities, gain work in the Film & TV industry and to broaden their freelance opportunities. To achieve the Certificate III in Hairdressing, a total of 28 units of competency must be completed. These Units of Competencies have been selected in consultation with industry and in accordance with the VET training package rules of this qualification. Please note that we may alter the unit selection from time to time to meet industry expectations and stay with the pulse of time. AACM's academic calendar is offering 4 terms a year with a term duration of 10 weeks. Terms commence in January, April, July and October.

- There are no formal entry requirements.
- No school certificates or ATAR required.
- You must be at least 15 years of age.
- Tuition fees for each term are $1,500, which can be paid on our instalment free payment plans.
- If you complete the course in our recommended average duration of 6 terms, your total tuition fees are $9,000.
- If you progress faster, you can complete earlier and save costs.
- If you need more time, you continue to study for $1,500 each term.
- VET Student Loans (VLS) is not available for certificate level courses.
- Weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment plans are available.
- Yes, you will need certain equipment as part of your hairdressing kit. You can either use your own equipment or alternatively purchase a professionally equipped hairdressing starter kit from us. Kit costs are $600 if you purchase directly from us.
- The recommended average study duration is 6 terms or approx. 18 months. However you may progress through the course faster and safe time and money. Or you may need more time and continue to study term by term until your qualification is completed.
- You need to attend the AACM Training Salon to complete your practical classes. Depending on your study load and pace, you usually attend 1 or 2 days at the Training Salon.
- All your theory can be studies online at your own pace using our learning platform Canvas.
