Studying at AACM Sydney for my Diploma of Screen & Media was an transformative experience. Initially, I joined because of the strong focus on Special Effects Makeup, but I quickly fell in love with every subject taught, from wigs to bald caps to prosthetics. The syllabus offered a great variety, and the campus provided all the resources we needed to learn.
What truly made my experience special were the teachers. Their passion and dedication were unmatched. They went above and beyond, showing a genuine interest in helping each student grow. It was a place where I could dabble, make mistakes, learn from them, and let my creativity flourish all whilst learning new skills.
AACM also provided flexibility where they could, making study accessible at any stage of life. They warmly welcome students from all walks of life and create an accommodating environment that works for everyone.
Even after graduation, the support from AACM continues. I still keep in touch with my teachers and often find myself back at the Sydney campus. AACM’s support doesn’t end when your studies do – they are there for you as you transition into the industry, providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
I can’t thank AACM enough for reigniting my love for learning and helping me turn my passion into a career.
