- We encourage you to complete the Makeup Fundamentals online short course prior to undertaking the Diploma of Screen and Media
DURATION
Part Time – 24 Months
You will study 10 modules with each module holding selected units of competencies with set assessment requirements.
You should expect a minimum of 9 hours per week study/practice time to work through each module.

Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney campuses will host optional boot camp sessions throughout your course. To participate in this course, you will require hair and makeup products and equipment. AACM will provide detailed kit lists with supplier options to purchase the products you need. Each supplier offers Afterpay or Zip Pay options also.

The Diploma of Screen and Media is priced at $120 on a weekly basis including access to our learning portal, learning materials and online support. Please note, makeup products and student kits are not included and will need to be purchased in addition.
We refer to this as our subscription model, where you pay as you go while studying. The course fees can be paid by direct debit from a bank account or credit card.
Queensland’s Higher Level Skills program provides eligible students with access to subsidised training in the Diploma of Screen and Media. The principal aim is to help students gain the higher-level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in a priority industry or transition to university to continue their studies.
You may receive a subsidy towards your Diploma of Screen and Media if you:
- are 15 years or older and no longer at school;
- permanently reside in Queensland;
- are an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen; and
- not hold, and not be enrolled in, a certificate IV or higher-level qualification, not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training.
